The League Football Association welcomes the decision of the Government of the Czech Republic earlier this week, which allows professional athletes to use the indoor spaces of sports grounds as part of their training activities. At its meeting today, the League Committee discussed the current situation and the possibilities of resuming the season in both highest professional competitions.

Negotiations in this direction with the National Sports Agency and the Ministry of Health will continue, and the LFA, together with member clubs, is doing their utmost to ensure that the highest football competition can take place this coming weekend. "On behalf of all professional football, I would like to thank everyone who is involved in the gradual resumption of competitions. Professional football has been the furthest in the Czech sports environment since the beginning of the epidemic, not only thanks to regular testing but also by fulfilling of several other hygienic measures. The clubs have fulfilled very strict conditions for many months and therefore we are convinced that we will be able to meet the hygienic conditions that will be set by the Ministry of Health now," said LFA Chairman Dušan Svoboda.

Based on the decision of the Government of the Czech Republic, the League Football Association will officially apply today to the Ministry of Health for an exemption from the crisis measure so that the 7th round matches can take place next weekend. At the same time, the League Board schedule the dates of the matches as they should be played, provided that the LFA receives this exemption.

"As we have already announced, the League Football Association will follow the decision of the Government of the Czech Republic and in cooperation with the National Sports Agency we will ask for the opportunity to restart the both highest competitions. We expect that the conditions under which we will be allowed to do so will not be too different from those that we have set ourselves internally in recent months," said Dušan Svoboda, Chairman of the LFA League Committee. At the same time, the LFA published the specified dates of the 7th round of the highest competition FORTUNA:LIGA, which are subject to an exemption from the Ministry of Health. "We expect that the schedule of matches into multiple time slots throughout the weekend will allow fans to watch the maximum number of matches at least on television," added Svoboda.
